Description: Monoammonium phosphate (MAP) is colorless transparent quadratic system crystal. Relative density is 1.803 (19). Melting point is 190, easy resolve in water, lightly resolve in alcohol, no resolve in acetone, it is stable in air and will partially decompose when heating to 100. Monoammonium phosphate will lose ammonium and water and produce the mixture of ammonium metaphosphate and phosphoric acid. Solution is acid (PH is 4.5 of 1% solution).

It find uses in food industry for bulking agent, paste regulator, yeast food, ferment aids, buffering agent.

It find uses in fire retardant for wood, paper and clothes, dispersant for fiber process and dye industry, glazes for porcelain enamel, ingredients of fireproof painting, annihilator of match core and candle core, dry powder extinguisher. It can also used for plate making and pharmaceutical.
